“Oltre il visibile”, Milan

On November 6, at BASE Milano (Via Bergognone 34), the exhibition “Oltre il visibile” was inaugurated, a multimedia installation curated by the students of the Photo, Video and New Media course and the Sound Technology course of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

The exhibition is created as part of the “MTNT-Music Theatre & New Technologies” project funded by the PNRR for the innovation and internationalization of the AFAM system and aimed at enhancing musical theater through dialogue with research and technological applications.

The installation, created with the technical sponsorship of DHS Event Solution and in cooperation with BASE Milano, aims to tell everything that lies behind an image: an idea, a project, a choice like many others but also an unframed space.

An off-screen, absent from the photo but present at the moment of the shot: a context made of actions, noises, voices and silences.

The installation aims to investigate precisely this circumstance, revealing the conditions of the reality in movement that surround and influence the moment in which the image is fixed in the camera.

The public will therefore find themselves immersed in a space in which the printed photographs – which portray musicians, dancers and actors – coexist with videos and sound spatialization.

The exhibition “Oltre il visibile” will remain open to the public until November 10.
