Riva – Ferretti inauguration, La Spezia

The inauguration of the Ferretti Group Riva shipyard in La Spezia was held on the morning of Friday 17 May, in the presence of the President Tan Xuguang and the CEO, Lawyer Alberto Galassi, as well as the local authorities and a delegation of Weichai, historic shareholder of the Group.

The La Spezia production site today plays a crucial role from an industrial point of view and employs over 750 workers on a daily basis, of which 200 are direct employees, representing a strategic center for Ferretti Group in the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian Sea areas.

The La Spezia shipyard – dedicated to the production of Riva yachts – has been renovated in the production and management areas, but also in the lounge area to welcome the owners, captains and crews.

The total surface area is equal to 64,000 square metres, with 33 berths located on docks for over 400 linear metres, and is made up of 4 sheds with 21 production stations, to which are added another 2 sheds of a total of 1,000 square meters dedicated to painting.

The production hub, which in its new guise features photovoltaic systems and exclusive dedicated spaces such as the Riva Lounge, is focused on the production of 7 Riva models from 76′ to 130′ and, when fully operational, allows the launch of over 30 boats per year up to 40 meters long.

Located in an area of ​​Regional Interest, the site is aimed at protecting and respecting the surrounding natural environment: the shipyard is part of the Il Miglio Blu project, aimed at enhancing the territory and its nautical excellence in full respect of the environment surrounding.

After the brilliant quarterly report just announced, the inauguration of the Riva – Ferretti Group shipyard was an opportunity to witness the new look of the factory in front of an audience of local and national institutions and a fundamental moment to take stock of the goals achieved by the Group.

President Tan once again confirmed his appreciation for the work carried out by the management of Ferretti Group and expressed renewed confidence in the team of managers led by the lawyer Alberto Galassi to challenge the years to come.
